Description:The shaker is connected to a piece of wire in a circle which connects to another piece of wire that is also in a circle and they are hooked together then that connects to another piece of wire that goes around the bowl, the piece of wire that goes around the bowl is connected to suction caps that suck onto the bowl. To use the Fish Food Shaker you simply push down on the shaker and because it has two springs on the bottom it will spring over the edge of the bowl and shake food into the bowl!!!!!!
Materials we will need:
-Fish bowl, super glue/hot glue gun, springs, suction caps, fish food shaker, wire and a stopper.
Method of Construction:
Step 1-Fill the shaker with Fish Food.
Step 2-Attach the springs to the shaker with hot glue or super glue.
Step 3- Making sure that the wire loop is looped onto the loop with the suction caps and glue it onto the side of the shaker.
Step 4- Thread the stopper onto the wire loop with the suction caps.
Step 5-Attach the loop with suction caps on the side of the bowl and make sure the springs are balanced on the surface below so that it doesn't topple over.
Forces acting on the machine:
-Gravitational energy keeping all of the things on the surface below
-Potential energy in the springs before you push down
-Pushing force as you push down on the shaker
-Transformation of potential energy in the springs to motion energy of the shaker.
-Motion energy is transferred from the shakers to the flakes.
-Friction between both wire loops
-Motion energy when the flakes fall from the shaker.
